Exocet Cooker Additive acts to reduce the Char Value of the fuel, improving its combustion performance and maintaining a clean burner for longer.

The char value is measured by the amount of charred oil deposition left on the wick after burning the fuel in a standard wick lamp at a standard rate for 24 hours. The Char Value of heating oil is often supplied at 16-30mg/kg. The British standard recommendation is a maximum of 20mg/kg. When the char value is greater than this it has a negative impact on the performance of range cookers (e.g. AGAs, Rayburns, Waterford-Stanleys, etc). This is due to a carbon build-up around the burner. This results is variable heat output and poor controllability.

By using a heating oil additive, your cooker & tank will benefit from;

A 200ml bottle treats 1,000 litres of heating oil.
